Stories show what numbers cannot.

Behind every budget decision is a student, a teacher, a classroom, a program, or a family.

These stories help our community understand what student support really means.

Why Stories Matter

Budget conversations can become numbers, tax rates, deficits, and board agendas.

But families experience school through people.

The teacher who noticed a child struggling.
The reading support that helped a student catch up.
The math help that rebuilt confidence.
The club that gave a student belonging.
The smaller classroom where a teacher had time to help.

That's what is at stake.

Featured Story

One D45 first grader received extra help in reading and math this year. That support did more than improve her test scores.

It changed her confidence. She started raising her hand more. She started believing she was capable. She started seeing herself as a strong student.

By the end of the year, her testing scores reached the 99th percentile.

That's what support can do.

Now imagine another child needing that same help and not getting it because the resources are no longer there.

Every child deserves the chance to get help before they fall behind.
